My First blog

This is the reason that I decided to start a blog.... Yes, it is a door. This door took me 5 months and 6 days to get. The people that we are renting our house from thinks doors are over-rated, so we didn't have one. We had a storm door but this new door is special, it has a lock on it. After fighting with them for months, and dozens of phone calls. I had a friend act like a pimp and offer her husbands services to me. No, he is not a whore, just an attorney :) He made one phone call, and got me a door. Oh, the power of 7 years of school!! I am incredibly grateful to the Lowe family. I can't even tell you how many nights I spent awake thinking that someone could just walk into my house.



So how does this justify starting a blog? Jessica told me to start a blog, so I did I thought it would give me a reason to post a picture of my new door. The other reason to start a blog???

This handsome man told me that blogs were lame. I find a lot of the things that he thinks are lame to be a good use of my time :) (Like taking a surfing lesson, going to church, and taking a day off work)

This handsome man is my husband. He had to wear a suit for something today and I could not remember the last time he was in a civilian suit. I had to take a picture.



These are the flowers my mom sent me for Mothers day. Pretty, right? I am not sure about the florist having all yellow flowers and just one pink rose. I really appreciated the flowers though.


So I have a confession to make, I sent my mom and MIL not only the same set of fruit flowers, but what I wrote on the cards was exactly the same. I am actually feeling pretty guilty about it. Usually I really go out of my way to try to put a lot of thought into gifts, I try to make them very personal. I did the bare minimum this year. I will have to make it up to them another time.







Well this is it for my first blog. How did I do? Should I delete this and pretend I never tried???
