guess who turns 3 tomorrow!

Georgia!!
Holy cow, how time flies! My little monster is turning 3. I am actually sitting here dreading tomorrow. Honestly, I am a little superstitious about birthdays. I think if the actual day of the birthday is quite telling on how the rest of the year will go.
For Georgia's 2nd birthday, we had just gotten home from a really long trip and had no food in the house. I went to the grocery store and got caught in some really miserable weather. We got home and there was a tornado a mile away from us and we had to go to a neighbors house for shelter. That's pretty much how this year has gone with Georgia, very stormy.
Don't get me wrong, we have had our good times and she always makes us laugh, but oh my gosh. There are some things you do your best to laugh at, but really you want to scream! When we left our last apartment, every wall but 2 had her coloring on it. She is incredibly naughty, I have to hide toilet paper from her. I can't even tell you how many whole rolls of toilet paper she has wasted. It is so nasty pulling out wads of wet toilet paper out of the toilet.
We also hide toothpaste, because she has a very artistic way with toothpaste. If I could hide water from her, I would. Little miss Georgia loves to climb into sinks and turn on the water... even better when it floods. She loves to dump things, bowls of food, boxes, baskets of clothes, drawers of clothes... anything... its apparently better on the floor.
I feel like I could go on forever with the naughty things she does on a daily basis. I know that these are the things I am going to look back on and find really endearing when she is 16, but for now I am ready for my sweet girl back.
So I truly pray tomorrow goes well. I am preparing food and activities... I can't handle another year of this.
Don't worry, I am going to post another blog of good things of my Georgy :)

Dr. appt

Today we went to the ENT and we finally found out what was wrong with Georgias ears. So let me back up a bit. Georgia had ear infections constantly as a baby, she was on anti-biotics from the time she was 1 or 2 months old untill she got tubes put in at 9 or 10 months.

Tommy had really bad speech delays because of waiting to long to get tubes put in. So with Georgia I really pushed getting tubes put in as soon as possible. So she got her tubes and was doing really well, then all the sudden she gets a TON of nasty pussy drainage from her ear. I went back to the ENT- I was told it is really common to get ear infections even with the tubes. The drainage just comes out of the ear rather than staying behind the ear drums. Just use anti-biotic ear drops. So we would use the drops, and about once a month the goo would come back.

Sometimes I could tell she was in a lot of pain, and sometimes it didn't seem to bother her. So I would put off getting more medicine if it didn't really bother her. So this goes on for a LONG time, we have seen like 6 different pediatricians in this time and the all say the same thing. Finally I go to a dr. that is not a pediatrician and I told her the history, and basically, can you just give me the medicine... She looks at me and says "you know this isn't normal, right?"

I was thinking well, it's pretty normal for us... but I was glad she got sent to a new ENT. The first ENT visit they said, well she has a lot of discharge from the ear so give her the anti-biotic ear drops... I thought it was a HUGE waste for me to go in there. Then I had to make a new appointment. So that brings us to today.

There was no pus in her ear and the Doctor could see her eardrum, and said her body had a reaction to the tube in her left ear and basically built a layer of skin around it. That is what is causing all the pus and drainage. (think giant pimple on her ear drum). I looked at the doctor completely shocked and said "what?" and he said, its really rare.

They gave her more ear drops, and yet another appointment in 3 weeks. Because they can't see the tubes inside "pimple" they don't know if the tubes are still in the tympanic membrane, or if the "pimple" is just holding the tube there. They are hoping the steroids will get rid of the thing so they can see the tube and the rest of the ear drum.

I am not completely sold on this theory. You know when you hear something in a doctors office that shocks you, you don't always think to ask good questions. I mean how does someone have a reaction to that only in one ear and not the other? There is like a million questions floating around in my head... I can't believe this is even possible

**** OH MY GOSH*** I totally just googled it because I kinda thought the dr. was full of it. One of the risks of surgery is

Foreign body reaction to the tube itself - for example, an allergic reaction to the tube material (rare)

I am completely flabbergasted!! These tubes have been in her ear for 2 years and 3 months!!! WTF!!! I think i just earned another nomination for the mother of the year award

My Favorite things

I'm not picky- Yeah, and I'm not a mind reader. So why don't you just say what you want rather than say I'm not picky, do what you want... and then get pissed off because it is not what you wanted????

Spinning and Pilates class???- What the heck is that? If I go to a hour spinning class it is because I was the cardio benefit of an hour spinning class. I am really confused when you want me to spin for 45 min, then you expect me to flop around on a mat on the floor after I am all sweaty and slippery. I also REALLY appreciate you being able to fit YOGA into it to. Next time can we do water Yoga, and mix in some zumba? c'mon people

Totally off the subject- So I went to a zumba class today, and there was this lone guy in the class. Quite the rarity actually to have one good looking marine in a zumba class with like 20 other gym moms. I was pretty amused about it, untill I saw the teacher. At first nothing special cute girl with red and blonde hair, nothing out of the ordinary. Untill she started dancing. HOLY COW white girls aren't supposed to be able to move their butts like that! Seriously, I found my self just standing there, hypnotized by the booty. I have never seen anything like it. So for me it just made me feel inadaquit, and I felt totally lame being in the class. I know why single and handsome was there though... LOL

My son is the best!- No sarcasm there, he really is! So he told me when he grows up he wants to build houses. I asked him if he would build one for me and he said yeah, then he added "but I would build one for Daddy next door so you guys wouldn't have to fight. "

From the mouth of babes huh? I'm actually really embarassed to post this but sometimes you have to remember the bad as well as the good

nostalgia

I went through some of the pictures I had on my computer and I got a little nostalgic. These are the ones that stood out too me.

My Tommy has always been the sweetest little boy. He is a little trooper, in his little life already he has moved 8 times. I can't say enough about him. As a baby he went everywhere with us, we never left him at home. One day I am going to write a full blog about him (and one about each of the girls).

This is the very first time Dan met baby Georgia. It was in an airport, and she slept through the whole thing but I love this picture because he is holding her so tight. Dan came back to visit for one week during his airforce training. Even though we had 2 kids, it was truly like a honeymoon. It was the best week I have ever spent with him.

This is a picture of my grandpa Foster. He is someone I really look up to. I just adore the way he has aged, he has just never became old. He really doesn't seem much older to me now than he did when I was a kid. In this picture he is holding Georgia. He has always had such an amazing way with her :)

This is me and my nephew Zach, who I miss dearly. He is such a sweet little boy, and he has such a sweet spirit, but all boy.

This was one of the most memorable days of my life. While Dan was PA in the airforce he took me up in a KC- 130 and we flew from Layton Utah all the way to the grand canyon. All the sudden I look out the window and there were 5 F-16's flying in formation right outside my window!! I got to actually watch the f-16 refuel... absolutly amazing. This was also the day that I decided to let Dan follow his dreams and become a marine.

I tried so hard one day to take "sexy" pictures for Dan with my friend Ashley... I really liked this one, but Dan hated them ALL!! LOL

This is me as a little girl, does it remind you of Georgia at all??? I think so

This is my friend Ashley and me, I'm the one in the ridiculous hat. The day we met we just hit it off, we did all kinds of crazy things together. We played strip poker on a LDS church roof, we would take clothes in fitting rooms and try them on and take pictures, we really did everything together. The only shame is we have totally different taste in guys, in highschool it was good because we never wanted to date the same guy. But it seems after highschool we have grown apart because of the men in our lives. It makes me really sad, so Ash, if you read this, you and I need to meet up for a girls weekend.

This was my wedding day. I was 19 and 5 months pregnant, Dan was 20. It was a really scary time, but the one thing that I love about this picture is how tightly we were holding eachothers hands. No matter how crazy life was, we could hold on to eachother. I can't say the last 5 years have always been easy, but I would say it was worth it.

This is my little Kat, its amazing how young she is but how many different stories I have about her. One of the scariest moments was the day after she was born when her doctor came in and woke up me up and said "Katherine is not able to breathe on her own we are going to have to put her on a ventilator". I thought I was going to lose my baby. I am SO thankful for this little child that I have been blessed with.

Well thats it for now. I'm sure I will have many more nostalgic moments to come :)

My dream last night...

*~*Dream*~*

I had a dream that I rented a hotel room for 2 nights... for just me. I got to take a bath with no interruptions, watch what I wanted on TV, I slept through the night with no one waking me up, and I slept in as late as I wanted. I think I even took naps during the day.

Now why am I SO desperate for sleep that I am dreaming about it? LOL! I really would LOVE to rent a hotel for myself for a couple nights. It would be nice just to have silence for a few moments.

**POOP**
Every time I sit down to blog, it makes me have to go #2! Really! Its frustrating every time I am sitting and concentrating writing my blog, I have to get up and go. Maybe it is the whole sitting and concentrating thing? TMI??? solution-- if you don't want to hear about it don't read the paragraph titled POOP.
Two miles and a pilates class
I went to the gym today. I have some new pet peeves. The guy on the treadmill next to me had a blue tooth head piece in, and was carrying on a really really loud conversation. Even worse... I think he was a real estate agent. Of all the people that I have met I think real estate agents have the worst cell phone etiquette. I am not saying all real estate agents... but wow... they would make phone calls at their grandmothers funerals. (I am not talking about you Ashley, in case you read this). I understand why I mean, when you have a real estate agent you really expect them to answer your calls so...
My other pet peeve, farting in pilates class. We will refer to her as L&S (loud and smelly) I'm sure it happens all the time, but it is not fun to be by the person doing it. We were doing this crazy exercise on a ball where are basically kneeling on the ball with your hands on the floor. So your butt... WAY up high. That is when it began for L&S. The first time I practically fell off the ball laughing, but it kept going through the rest of the class...
So on that note, I just thought of a great prank for April fools next year!
Dear Gym Scale,
I hate you

would you push him?

BEIJING – Chen Fuchao, a man heavily in debt, had been contemplating suicide on a bridge in southern China for hours when a passer-by came up, shook his hand — and pushed him off the ledge

I just found that quote from a news source. Of course I laughed a little, how do you come up to someone, shake his hand, then push him off a ledge?? Freaking crazy!

So today I found a good home for the kittens... YAY no more kittens!! I'm a little sad, but mostly happy. I figured I would find them homes now while they are still really cute, down the road if I had to get rid of them I don't know if I would be able to find good homes.

Thats pretty much it for today!!!

may 22, 2009

Today started at 1am with a phone call. Usually when you get a phone call at 1am it is something really important. So I was startled awake, jumped up and got the phone. It was my friend complaining about her divorce, which if it was a new or urgent complaint I might understand a phone call at that time. No, no... her divorce was over a year ago. So back to bed at 1:30.
Then dogs barking, cats attacking my feet, Tommy and Georgia both had bad dreams, and I had to feed the baby. Then 6:30 rolls around and the kids think it is time to wake up. So I turned on cartoons and laid on the couch. Knock knock, the neighbor needs jumper cables at 7 am. Ring Ring, my husband FINALLY calls me (at 7:30) because he wants me to check the weather and send him a text. Go upstairs check the weather txt him with the report, then back on the couch. Lay down... baby crying. At this point I gave up trying to sleep.
In this time period Georgia was able to:
A. Get into the peanut butter
B. Dye the bathtub yellow
C. Bleach her hair
D. color all over herself with red permanent marker
E. all of the above
The answer was E!!! I have no idea how she turned the bathtub yellow, how she got into the haircolor, or where she found the red permanent marker. The peanut butter thing happens a lot. NOT a good start to the day

I rinsed out Georgias hair as fast as I could but you can see, she did change her hair color a little... its not too obvious.

The rest of the day we just played dress up, took pictures, went to the gym (144.6 lbs), went to the dollar store. It turned out to be a pretty fun day, but it did not start out well.

I'm so in love with this baby!!

What a handsome boy my son is!\
